Operon strategist is thrilled to share exciting news for MedTech companies in the US.

Medical device manufacturers can seek funding of up to $300,000 through the Advanced Manufacturing Clearing House program (AMCH).

The Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC) in partnership with the FDA has come up with a program – AMCH to expedite the adoption of new and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Steve Zera, Sr. Manager, AMCH, MDIC said –

“Other industries, including semiconductor, aviation and automotive, have already incorporated many of these advanced technologies to help with supply chain resiliency and product agility,”

“The FDA realized that we’ve got to get these advanced technologies into the medical device world, because we’re seeing so many positive gains in other industries.”

Important points:

  • This program will be available to all company sizes provided that it is intended for the US market.
  • After the company applies for the program, AMCH will review and score the application. On the basis of the score, AMCH will notify the company if they feel they can proceed with it.
  • AMCH will provide partial payments as certain milestones are achieved and full payment will be done on project completion.

Zera also says “This is free money. The FDA is committed to the adoption of advanced technologies in MedTech,”
