The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has made significant strides in boosting the medical devices industry by allocating land to 36 medical devices and associated industries at the Medical Devices Park in Ujjain. This park has been strategically established to enhance the production and export of medical equipment and consumables.

Investment of Rs 1,855 Crore Proposed by Medical Device Companies

To date, industries in the Medical Devices Park have collectively proposed an investment of approximately Rs 1,855 crore. Executive Director of MPIDC, Ujjain, Rajesh Rathod, stated, “We have so far allotted around 97 acres of land to 36 industries. A few more industries are in the pipeline, and they are expected to significantly contribute to the region’s industrial growth.

These industries, which include M/s Sheba Industries India Pvt Ltd, M/s Clinisupplies India Private Limited, M/s Medqverse Private Limited, and several others, have collectively proposed to generate employment for 6,908 individuals. The companies in the park will focus on manufacturing and exporting various medical products such as:

  • Self-testing kits
  • Dental implants
  • Medical test kits
  • Orthopaedic implants
  • Catheters
  • Hip and knee implants
  • Wound dressing products
  • Medical adhesives
  • Disinfectants and sterilization products
