YEIDA Launches Plot Allocation Scheme for Medical Device Units

The Uttar Pradesh government has introduced a new initiative aimed at promoting medical device manufacturing in Greater Noida, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.

Under this initiative, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has unveiled a scheme to allocate 21 industrial plots in Sector-28. The scheme invites companies from the medical device sector to establish manufacturing units in the region. Applications are currently open, with the deadline set for July 7.

Medical Device Park in Greater Noida to Be India’s Largest

The plots are part of the upcoming Medical Device Park in Greater Noida, which is poised to become the largest facility of its kind in India. Officials say the park is expected to drive significant economic growth in the state by creating a specialized ecosystem for medical technology and innovation.

The scheme focuses on attracting investment in high-potential areas such as cancer care, radiology, imaging, in-vitro diagnostics (IVD), implants, electronic medical devices, cardio-respiratory equipment, and renal devices including catheters.

Of the 21 available plots, 16 measure 1,000 square metres and five are 2,100 square metres.

  • The premium for a 1,000 sq m plot is ₹77.30 lakh, with a registration fee of ₹7.73 lakh.

  • For a 2,100 sq m plot, the premium stands at ₹1.62 crore, and the registration amount is ₹16.23 lakh.
